What is the C.H.A.M.P.S. Program?
C.H.A.M.P.S. coaches work privately with you to help build on your strengths and develop a game plan for you to stay healthy, to stay in school, and to reach your academic goals!
Who are the C.H.A.M.P.S. Coaches?
Our coaches are BC and community members who are interested in you. They will train you to work with your BC team of advisors, professors, tutors and other BC community members to accomplish your goals.
What will I do in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Program?
You will develop a C.H.A.M.P.S. Plan for Success with your coach. The plan will include academic goals as well as goals for staying active and healthy outside of class. Then, you and your coach will meet each month throughout the academic year to discuss your progress, problem solve, and outline next steps. Your experience also includes monthly workshops and seminars related to success in college, career, and life. In addition, C.H.A.M.P.S. participants will take a field trip once a semester.
How long is the C.H.A.M.P.S. Program?
You will work with your personal C.H.A.M.P.S. coach for one academic year.
What will I get out of the C.H.A.M.P.S. Coaching Program?
You will benefit in several ways! Working with a coach can help you make significant progress toward your life goals. You will have someone who will push you to succeed and who will become a part of your network when you leave BC to begin your new career.
