Storytellers

Storytellers are a select group of students chosen through an application and interview process to assist prospective students and their families in the enrollment process. They are representatives of Bloomfield College both on and off the job. The program seeks students who are energetic, enthusiastic, and exhibit exceptional communication, organization, presentation and leadership skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families, school groups, campus VIPs and incoming staff/faculty
• Facilitating and assisting group tour presentations
• Engaging in prospective student outreach via phone
• Assisting on multiple levels in the successful execution of campus events
• Serving as a brand Storyteller both on and off campus

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled as a Bloomfield College Student
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Commitment to program for 2 consecutive semesters
• Ability to commit to 10 hours of work per week (divided among tours and office hours)
• Availability to work some nights and/or weekend events or activities
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic personality
• Bloomfield College Pride

Application Requirements:
• A completed application
• 2 professional reference forms completed and submitted; one of which must be completed by a Bloomfield College faculty or staff member
• A 2-3 minute video introducing yourself in a creative way. Showcase your Bloomfield College Pride and what would make you an excellent Storyteller. Videos must be uploaded on YouTube or Vimeo and link submitted on application
• Copy of current semester’s class schedule
