Fun fact you should know: Yes, I am from Southern California. Yes, I do surf. Yes, "dude" is in my vocabulary. And yes, Mexican food is a staple in my diet. OR I am #3 on the all-time career hit list for BC's softball program.
I just love: the Yankees. Originally being from San Diego I was a Padres fan by default. I am not sure if anyone else is aware of this, but San Diego professional sports are cursed! Anyway, in 1998 the Yankees creamed the Padres 4 games to 0 in the World Series. That was the last time little Ashton was going to have her heart broken by the Padres. I suppose it is acceptable to be a trader when you are 7 years old.

Favorite thing about New Jersey: The cultural diversity! You cannot go anywhere in the state without meeting someone from a different background, eat a dish from a different country, or experience something that will change the way you look at the world around you. You just have to open your eyes!
The one experience students shouldn't miss at Bloomfield College: Being a part of something bigger than yourself. Get involved in any way you can. It is an awesome experience being a part of a team or club, you'll make friends, network, and gain experiences you will remember for the rest of your life!
Favorite spot on campus: Library, I absolutely lived there when I was a student at BC. Does this make me a nerd?
The "coolest" thing I've heard someone say about Bloomfield: I wouldn't say there is one specific thing that someone has said directly about Bloomfield in particular. But something that has always stuck out to me was when the Athletic Director told my father, "If she doesn't have anywhere to go for the holidays, she is always more than welcome to come over and be a part of my family." As a kid, 3,000 miles from home, this really struck me and ultimately let my father finally relax about sending his little girl across the county for college. I think this exemplifies what is at the core of BC: being a part of a family.
My "warm & fuzzy" moment since working at Bloomfield: After working with prospective students to get their applications together, finally meeting them in person when they visit the campus or register for classes.
