The BC Pass card enables students to access three separate accounts: BCBucks, BCFlex and BCBooks. Each account must be funded prior to use and has unique rules for acceptance and the rollover of funds.
BC Bucks is a pre-paid spending account offering a safe and convenient way for all students and employees to make purchases on campus. It is designed to eliminate the need to carry cash. Students, parents, and/or employees must add value to BC Bucks before using it for purchases. On campus, BCBucks is accepted as a form of payment at the bookstore and at all campus eateries. Future plans will include laundry and select vending machines plus off-campus locations. For non-residential students, BCBucks is a convenient way to pay for meals and snacks at campus eateries. Value in BCBucks rolls over every semester and year, as long as you are a member of the Bloomfield College community.
All registered resident students have a dining plan. Presentation of the BC Pass Card is required to access Schweitzer Cafeteria for all meals. All resident students also have a BC Flex account that allows them to purchase food at the Liberty Street Pizza & Grill. Only resident students will see BC Flex on their account.
Coming in the Fall 2013 Semester, those students who receive financial aid to purchase books will see a BCBooks account on their BCPass card. These funds are used at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Bloomfield College for course text books and educational supplies as described under the terms and conditions of the financial aid package.
