The Office of Enrollment Management and Admission welcomes you to Bloomfield College (BC). AS a BC student, you will become part of a diverse community that includes international students from more than 50 countries. We trust you will find your time at BC rewarding and complimentary to your personal and professional goals. In the near future you will be receiving an I-20 form, used to apply for an F-1 student visa. Please review the Pre-Arrival Checklist and the International Student Handbook to assist you with the various tasks needed to prepare you for the upcoming semester.
To confirm your decision to enroll at the College, we ask that you complete and return the Health Form, Matriculation Form, and a Tuition Deposit by check or money order. Students living off-campus (commuters) should submit a $150 tuition deposit. If you choose to live on-campus, you’ll need to submit a tuition and housing deposit for $250. As the number of residence hall rooms is limited, I strongly recommend that you submit your deposit as soon as possible.
After you have received your visa from the U.S. Embassy, please purchase a plane ticket to Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. Orientation, placement testing, and registration are held prior to the semester start date. For specific dates/ times, please refer to the Pre-Arrival Checklist. The residence hall check-in for students who have health clearance is the Saturday prior to the first day of school.
For specific dates/ times, please refer to the Pre-Arrival Checklist. Please note that international students in F-1 status may not enter the United States more than 30 days prior to the start date indicated on the I-20 form.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us. Have a safe and enjoyable trip to the United States and to Bloomfield, New Jersey.
