Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system. A nurse combines the disciplines of natural science and technology with people skills like communication, problem solving, teaching, and compassion. Nurses touch people’s lives at a time when they need help.
Christine started leaving her personal touch on Bloomfield College’s Nursing Program when she decided on a career change and came back to college for a second degree. She started her education at St. Bonaventure University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree before attending various local community colleges, excelling in nursing pre-requisite courses. She was attracted to Bloomfield College by the small class and lab sizes which allow her to work closely with professors, the opportunity to learn about other cultures and the inviting campus setting and architecture. Finally, the close proximity to her home made for an easy transition and decision!

Christine
Christine decided that she wanted a career that was rewarding and wanted to be content with her choices when she looked back on her educational decisions. At BC, we are sure that when Christine looks in the mirror she can be proud of herself, her hard work, and her passion for giving back to the community as she takes the final steps toward becoming a Registered Nurse.
Christine possesses an internal intensity to strive for what she wants in life and the work ethic to make it happen. How do you define dedication? Christine defines it by having the courage to come to college for a second degree while planning a wedding and working part-time.
You can catch Christine in the nursing labs, conducting campus tours as a Student Ambassador, delivering a speech about her experiences to prospective students, and always offering a helping hand to the campus community! |
