Roxanne can be described as enthusiastic and determined; she is a student who enjoys the classroom and eagerly looks forward to completing her degree. She is a full time employee of a large financial company in New Jersey by day and attends Bloomfield College part time in the evenings. Roxanne has two children, a daughter and a son, and has the desire to be the motivation for them to succeed while they encourage her to pursue her goal. Roxanne chose Bloomfield College based on many conditions, but its close proximity to her job and her residence was a serious factor.

“It was a great joy to return to school after putting it off for more than twenty-five years. I am very happy that I chose Bloomfield College because the small classes and the individual attention from the professors are of great benefit to me.” Roxanne finds her English class very engaging and contributes to the lively discussions. It hasn’t taken long for Roxanne to fit right in with the rest of the class. “Returning to school presented a challenge at first, however, that challenge paled in comparison to the rich and rewarding experience that this decision has offered me.”

Roxanne hasn’t done this alone; she has received great support from her family, friends, and even her colleagues at work. Roxanne’s life experiences have been substantial in terms of the type of help she needed to get through the difficult periods during her first semester. Although she has just begun and still has a very long way to go, we are all confident that Roxanne will succeed because of her strong faith. “I’m eagerly looking forward to the rest of my semesters of growth and enrichment here at Bloomfield College.”
