We affectionately refer to Tierney as the Bloomfield College CAT because this third-year student is thriving in our Creative Arts and Technology Program (CAT) and is making quite a name for her there and abroad as well. Recently, Tierney traveled to Kosovo and Macedonia over spring break and Romania this summer to conduct workshops for students from over forty different countries and empower International Debate Education Association (IDEA) students to produce and distribute audio and video reports on contemporary topics. The project was a tremendous success for all involved. Tierney hopes to be cinducting another training this summer in Italy! Check out some of Tierney’s work!

Tierney-Lee

When she isn’t traveling across the globe or working on their most recent 3D Animation project, Tierney works as one of Bloomfield College student ambassadors and is a very active part of our campus community. You can see her in action at our Open House events or giving our weekly campus tours!

This worldly young woman just returned from representing Bloomfield College and the CAT Program in Korea and Japan this summer as part of a first time student exchange! Take a look at the project that was collaborated between Korean and American students!

Why did you choose Bloomfield?
I chose Bloomfield because they were one of the only schools in New Jersey that offered Animation as a major. I was looking for a school that was close to home and had a very competitive program.
What is the best thing about Bloomfield?:
The best thing about Bloomfield is that it is a small school, which allows the students to have a more personal relationship with their professors. It promotes a really comfortable environment to learn in.
Favorite Class at BC:
Out of all the classes I have taken so far Web Design, 3D modeling, Multimedia, and Creative Writing have been the most fun..
Describe one “crazy” experience here at BC:
One day during a Circus Arts class, my multimedia professor who used to be a circus performer and I decided to attempt a few small balancing stunts. The idea was for me to do a handstand on his knees while he was on his back and balance there. Disaster in the making. I attempted to do the handstand, but my spotter didn’t catch me. I then proceeded to flip over and finally I ended up with my butt getting acquainted with my teacher’s face.
Career Goals:

To become a 3D animator and multimedia designer for a major company.
