What is a Transfer Student?
At Bloomfield College you are considered a transfer student if you are or have been
enrolled in any college-level classes since graduating from high school. We have
a dynamic transfer population, and are proud to welcome transfer students from across
the state, across the country, and from around the world!
Transfer Admission Requirements:
Bloomfield College operates on a rolling admission basis. General admission students
are typically notified of their admission decision within two to four weeks after
receipt of all supporting documentation. The priority deadline for applications
is March 14th!
Follow these steps to apply:

The completed application, together with a check or postal money order for $35.00 (USD) payable to Bloomfield College, should be returned to the Office
of Enrollment Management & Admission.
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended. Send them to:

*Transfer students who have earned less that 15 college level credits must submit
their high school transcript, SAT scores, personal essay, and 2 letters of recommendation.
Please note that certain majors may have specialized deadlines! Please contact the
Office of Enrollment Management and Admission for further details.
Note to Nursing Transfer Applicants
The deadline to apply to Bloomfield College’s Nursing program and begin nursing
classes in the fall semester (*pending completion of ALL pre-requisites and the
entrance exam) is May 15th! Please note that unless
you must have completed all six pre-requisite courses listed below, and have taken
the National League for Nursing Entrance Exam (NLN), scoring within the 40th percentile,
you will be accepted only into the college as a Pre-Nursing student.

1. ENG 106 (Writing I)
2. ENG 107 (Writing II)
3. MTH 113 (College Algebra w/ Trig)
4. BIO 205 (A&P I)
5. BIO 206 (A&P II)
6. NUR 105 (Nutrition)
Upon completion of the six pre-requisites nursing applicants will need to take the
National League for Nursing Entrance Exam (NLN) that is offered to accepted students
at Bloomfield College twice a year.
Once the scores are determined,
the Nursing Department and Advisors will meet in July to select the students to fill the 50 openings.

College Standards and Minimum Qualifications:
The following guidelines represent the minimum qualifications necessary for consideration.
Satisfying the minimum requirements does NOT guarantee admission to Bloomfield College
. Preference will be given to those students whose credentials indicate the greatest
promise of academic success.
- Minimum 2.0 GPA or higher
- Minimum 15 transferable credits
Terminology:
- Transferable means: Grades of C or better in 100 college level classes or above
will be accepted by Bloomfield College.

All transcript evaluations are completed by the Office of the Registrar and Advising
International Transfer Student Admission:
If you have completed college-level courses in a college or university outside of
the USA, these courses must be evaluated at your own expense by World Education
Services (WES) on a course-by-course basis. For more information visit their website
