New Jersey State Department of
Health requires ALL students enrolled
in a program leading to a degree
supply proof of immunization to measles,
mumps and rubella (MMR). Details
regarding this requirement may be
found at: http://www.state.nj.us/health/cd/college.htm.
New Jersey State Law requires
that all Fall 2004 incoming new
and transfer students planning
to live in college dormitories,
receive the MENOMUNE (Meningitis)
vaccine prior to moving into the
resident facilities. The College
is prohibited from allowing any
student to reside in its facilities
without proof that they have received
the MENOMUNE vaccine. Please provide
the verification to the Health
Services Office.
You must supply proof of the following
vaccinations:
- Two measles vaccinations (given
after 1967)
- One rubella vaccination
- One mumps vaccination
or
or
You may be exempt
from these requirements if:

You were born
before December 31, 1956
-
You have documented
medical reasons,
-
You have documented
religious reasons.
A good place to start
looking for your documentation
is with your private physician
or the last school or college you
attended.
If you are unable
to locate your immunization records
or they are incomplete, the next
option is to provide proof of immunity
by serological report, a blood
test that your doctor must order.
You may opt to take
the vaccinations again. Remember
they must be given at least 30days
apart. The MMR vaccines are given
by appointment in the Health Services
Office, Clee Hallfor $50.00 per
dose.
