With advancements in medicine and drug therapies and new technologies driving the economy, mathematics and science majors are among the most sought after graduates each year. Todays scientists are on the cutting edge, finding new and innovative ways to treat illness, cure disease, understand the natural environment and enhance global communication.

Network systems and data communication analysts will be the fastest growing occupation through 2014 for college graduates.

Approximately 58 percent of chiropractors are self-employed. In 2005, the mean salary for chiropractors was $104,363.

Most recent estimates put median annual earnings of mathematicians at over $80,000.
