If you already have a bachelors degree and are interested in joining the teaching profession, you can enroll in a fast-paced weekend program that you can complete in as little as 18 months.

The Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program prepares you to teach at the elementary or secondary school levels in the state of New Jersey. You would attend class on Friday evening and all day Saturday for three trimesters and complete your student teaching assignment during the day. Optional courses are also available during weekday evenings.

Five certification programs are open to Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education students:

• Early Childhood Education
• Elementary Education
• Elementary Education
  with Subject Matter Specialization
• Secondary Education/Subject Areas:
  Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, History, and
  Mathematics
• Special Education (for students that currently have
  a teacher's certificate)
