Bloomfield College is a fully accredited independent four-year liberal arts college whose mission is “to prepare students to attain academic, personal and professional excellence in a multicultural and global society”. The College is located in the Township of Bloomfield in northern New Jersey, adjacent to Newark, in one of the most diverse and dynamic regions of the “Garden State”.

The College is uniquely surrounded by a number of beautiful parks and greenery. The College Community values the local and global environment; and the need for environmental responsibility on the part of its students, faculty, staff and administration. The College is committed to efforts to protect and enhance the environment, while broadening community awareness and embracing environmentally conscious practices. The College will conduct its educational and operational mission in a fashion which promotes personal and institutional environmental accountability. To that end, the College will:

• Promote teaching, clinical and laboratory research practices which are environmentally sound and in alignment with local, state and national Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines;

• Promote recycling practices which conserve natural resources;

• Practice environmentally sustainable physical operations through renovation, construction and purchasing plans;

• Remain consistent in its outreach to enhance community awareness of environmental responsibility.

The actions and initiatives taken to safeguard our environment today will have a lasting impact on our campus and on our local, national and global communities.
