Bloomfield College hosts Annual Opening Ceremony for its International Programs

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, the Office of International Training and Professional Studies (ITPS) of Bloomfield College hosted its annual opening ceremony for its programs. Over 70 students and professionals from all over the world, including Korea, China, Turkey, Ecuador, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, France, and Tanzania, have come to Bloomfield College to participate in the American Language and Culture Program, Visiting Scholars Program, Global Initiative Program, and Global Leadership Program. These programs aim to help visiting students hone their English skills as well as gain insights into their various fields of study.

In his remarks, Bloomfield College President, Richard A. Levao, challenged students to engage fully in the American culture and not be afraid to make mistakes when speaking English.

Dr. Peter K. Jeong, Vice President of Global Programs and Professional Studies, encouraged the students to strive to become leaders in their respective industries in order to make the world a better place.

The programs within ITPS not only benefit the students from visiting countries, but have lasting effects on Bloomfield College.
